how do u guys store spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. i was going to buy the plano box but reviews say it bends the wire on the spinnerbaits and overall doesnt work very well.

I am having the same problem.  Last week I actually bought one of the low profile plano boxes (the one you bend the bait to secure it).  It is complete junk.  I have several different sizes and all but the smallest ones simply pop loose.  Don't even bother with buzzbaits.  I should have believed the reviews saying that the don't work.  Since most of them seemed to be worried about bending their baits I assumed they simply were not securing them enough.  I have tried and tried, and maybe I am still doing it wrong but even when I think they are secure but the time I get to the water most of them have popped free again.

 

If space wasn't an issue I would get one of the boxes that let you hang them, but I just don't have space for that right now.  I might have to make room though as I am really starting to enjoy using spinners.  I might pick up another small worm binder though as that is what I was using before I bought the plano box and it worked well enough.

I have gone through a coupe options. I got the Flamb. Hanging box, and it works, but trying to take them out or storing Buzz makes or a pain.

I went to 3700 Plano lay down, and that is junk! It hooks two less than it's advertised and they move around way to easily. Not to mention trying to take out or put back one in the mid.

The 3700 Plano elite I have now. And while it has its downs it by far is the best in my opinion. The latches and hinges are sound. Yeah you have to bend the arm to secure them, but add long as they aren't cheap or short arms it's just fine. It holds tons of spinners, and Buzz.

If you don't mind toteing around a box go with the flam hanging. But if you want a box go Plano elite. They make both 3600 & 3700 style.

I just hang mine on a rack.   But then again, I only take 4 or 5 to the water with me, depending on the day.   They hang nicely in my little bag by themselves.  No need for a box.   

 

But thats just me.

I have the Plano box and I think it works just fine. The wires don't stay bent and I've never had any pop out. They make one specifically for buzz baits now too.

X2 been using it since they came out - no problems.

I like others, also use the Plano Elite 3707 Spinner & Buzz Bait holder.  DOes it bend the spinnerbait wire in store sure, but it has never been a problem for me.  It works perfectly for me.  

I have an old Plano 1701 spinnerbait box.  It looks like a regular tacklebox until you open it up.  Holds a bunch of spinnerbaits and buzzbaits.

So I need to correct my previous comment.  After looking at the pictures posted above I reorganized mine and was able to get them to lock in securely.  I will have to see how well they stay, but for now I am much happier with the box.

I just got the new plano hydro flow hanging box and I really like it, the only downside is its not small, but then again that is the upside is it holds a lot of baits or allows you to spread them out to make the easier to take out or put back in.

Yeah, you have to slip them in between the skirt and head to properly hold them. When I first got it, I didn't really know. I thought it was complete junk. However after about 4 months of storage, all baits are fine and bounce back. That and you can take this one and shake it, and they should stay in place.

I have one of the older Bass Pro spinnerbait binders. I keep all my spinnerbaits in it as well as chatter baits and swim jigs. Unfortunately they discontinued it, but I believe Browning makes one very similar and would not hesitate to purchase it.
