Top 5 Favorite Pond Bass Lures?

Featured Replies

Any pond fisherman out there?

I know that most people on here fish in lakes but I'm assuming a large number also fish in ponds frequently!

Here are my top 5 pond lures

#1- KVD Squarebill's (Craw color or black/chart)

#2- Wacky Worm (Senko's) (Green Pumpkinseed with Flecks)

#3- Blue and black jig with Craw-like trailer

#4- Spinnerbaits- all colors (Strike King)

#5- Craws/Creatures/Worms Texas-Rigged (All colors/Different Brands)

4 Storm Thin Fin

5 Large  Beetle Spin not the panfish lure .

Is there a reason this list would be different from what you would use on a lake?

I haven`t really fished any ponds but most of these lists sound like what are my preferred lures on a lake.

I use a Booyah Pond Assassin spinnerbait on good size lakes and catch decent fish, I imagine they would be king in a pond! (Or so Booyah would have us believe! :fishing1: )

Other than the texas rigs that can be used anywhere , I did not list any offshore structure baits .  I am targeting   mainly weeds and shoreline cover  in ponds .

I guess that makes sense... and since I don't do much offshore structure fishing, it would explain why my list matches up. Only offshore fishing I tend to do is weed lines and I'll use a lot of the same lures for that.

Manns Baby 1 Minus -Tenn Shad

Spinnerbait -(white/chart, white)
