Was wondering, how deep do you guys get the following cranks to run on 10 pound fluoro on a long cast? Can you name any others with a body size of no bigger than 3" that will come close to or surpass 20 feet on a good cast?

 

1. Spro Little John DD

2. SK 6XD

3. Rapala DT20

The largest Luck E Strike Freak gets way down there. Haven't fished one yet but the Duo G87 20A is supposed to be a super deep diver that's just over that 3" body size. The largest Hot Lips Express bait is another one just over the 3" mark and probably one of, if not the deepest running baits out there without getting into the oversized baits. 

I've found that the whole DT series will dive slightly deeper than it's rating on 12lb. FC. I would imagine even deeper on 10 lb. 

 

I know I can get DT10's down 13' no problem, and a DT14 will hit 16-17'. I've never fished the DT20, but I wouldn't find it far stretched if someone told me it would run 22'.

Old school cranks are hard to beat for the trully deep work.

I fish the 6XD on 10# flouro=around 16-17 ft.

Spro Lil' John DD=around 16-18 ft.

I don't like the DT20

 

Best crank for 20+ IMO, is the 6th Sense 500 Crush. I throw it on 12# = 25 ft. Slightly smaller profile than the 10XD, much tighter wobble, much less drag. It's becoming a favorite of the Elites.

Strike king 6xd or 8xd

Duo g87 will get silly deep on 12#flouro.

I was scrapin the bottom in 22fow the other day. Interestingly in doesnt pull quite as hard as the 6xd.

body size is close but the bill in the g87 is much larger than the 6xd

Norman's DD22 has been working for me when I use it. 

Rapala DT20 and the 3/4 oz Luhr Jensen Hot Lips Express test to past 20'.  A DD22 gets to 17-18'.  Most other candidates are very large cranks like the Strike King 10XD.
