100 bass a day is quite common on Toledo Bend still today!

Bass_Fanatic caught about 100 over a 2 day span without any trouble in near gale force winds.

30-50 a day is average, now keep in mind I'm talking non-keepers & keepers (14" min), out of that number ya might have 15-20 keepers.

It's times like that, I'm thinking whether the Budweiser Can Lure will work, too?

Incredible!

Were you using 7 inch worms in 7 foot of water? Bet you wasnt using a seven foot rod though .

That's crazy!  I can never remember my dreams in that much detail. ;)

Holy Schnikes!!

There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image, make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity. For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. We repeat: there is nothing wrong with your television set. You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to – The Outer Limits.

Used to keep detailed records like that, though not any more. Every once in a while a lake around here will get really good for a short spell before everyone else catches on. For example, June 8, 2011 I fished a small public reservoir. The gate ticket registered 12:19 when I entered, and I was launched and headed to my first spot at 12:30. Turned out to be my only spot that day. Dog groomer called at 2:39, so was back at the ramp at 2:45 and headed out. Anchored on one structure spot for the entire time and caught 51 bass without ever moving the boat in 2 hrs and 9 min. Every single fish was a keeper (>14"), all on the one same rod/reel/bait. 5 were over 4# with another 3-14 to go with it.

On that same lake a different time, I once had a pair of good friends sit and watch me catch 26 keeper bass in a row off a single spot on a deep crankbait. They couldn't believe it at the time. One of the two later invited a popular tv fishing show host to come out and film one of his shows there with him because of that.

Stuff like that doesn't happen often, but it sure is fun when it does. Can't recall ever having the weird number alignment though. That's the stuff of conspiracy theorists :) BTW, that particular lake is becoming tough as nails now, so it's time to wait until another lake peaks one of these days. .

I'm very impressed with that record Catt.

Closest I could come for 7/7/1977 would be that I was stationed at Grand Forks AFB at the time.  Can't remember if that was a working day or if it was a day off.

If I was working, I would have been in the Alpha flight area which was about one hundred and SEVEN miles WNW of the base near the small town of Langdon ND.  Interestingly, my work shift of 7pm to 7am matched the time you were on the water.

If it was a day off, you may have found me at the NCO Club @ 7pm, and possibly even enjoying a 7&7, just not for 12 straight hours!

Haha I cannot say I have. I like to stay away from superstition..... I create my own luck

I wish that Big-O Texan would give his story of 7 bass in 7 hours that was close to 70 lbs!

I need to come down and jump in the boat with you and learn something sir! I might be able to pull this off on a Bill Dance lake. :)

wow well my story is nothing like you guys... but 4 days in a row of about 35 bass, about 120 a day among four of us, at a buddy's cottage. Only week that lake produced anything over 5-10 bass each a day. We're going back this year at just about the same time so here's hoping we'll get similar numbers!
