Line Size And Knots For Light Texas Rigs?

Featured Replies

I fish 10-20 lb big game with t-rigs (mostly 12 and 15) with a palomar knot, and I have never broken off a fish on a hook set, and hardly ever any other time.

I use 12 lb P-line tactical  fluorocarbon using a Trilene knot and have never had a fish break off.

I consider 3/26 oz bullet weights as standard size for Texas rigged worms 6"-9" with hooks from 2/0 to 5/0 depending on the worm body dia. Line 10 to 14 lb test.
