For you kayak owners out there, do you have an anchor trolley on 1 side or both sides of your kayak?

I have just one and I put it on the opposite side that I clip my paddle to.

Both side depending on the wind and angle where I cast.  Very easy to use with stake out pole.  Just make sure the pulley are way up by bow & stern for maximum angle position.

I don't really see the need unless you can only cast to your left or to your right.  I am waiting for the yak attack trolley to be released to install one on my ATAK.

it negates the need for a cleat to hold the line as it has a lever lock as part of the unit.  It also has multiple anchor points for the top line to keep it tight to the hull and not moving around.  Pretty slick set up really.

I put the yak gear deluxe on a couple weeks ago and have already seen that it might be nice to have another. By the way, I'm extremely satisfied with that kit. I was pretty nervous about the install, but it was a breeze and I am quite glad I did it

Thanks guys. Also, what is the advantage to running the top trolley line THRU the ring? I notice most guys don't do this.

I have trolleys on both sides. I choose left or right based on wind direction and where I want my kayak to point.

Since my pulleys are all the way on the bow and the stern, I have no need for two. The two inch difference that would be there would mean about 3* difference in boat angle. It's not worth all the extra cordage hanging on the side of my boat. I have my trolley on the opposite side I generally land my fish on. That happens to port for me.

Im with those that only have one that I move from side to side as needed.

I only have one, port side. I built it myself with paracord and brass clips, with no pulleys, split it into two runs at the middle handle, and never have an issue with it. Ever. It holds just fine with no cleat.

I am adding the same set up on the starboard side in the very near future.

i put one on both sides of my ride 135.  not for need, but for convenience.
