The scales said 8.5 but I would have bet $100 it was 10!

All we can do with measurements is go with the numbers, no idea how the fish was measured?

The scale weighed 8.5 lbs, no idea how accurate the scale us, but it doesn't matter, it is what it is...8.5 lbs.

Isn't that the truth. 

Close to 10 but a lot of myspace angles going on by holding the fish out away from your body toward the camera. Really alters the perceived size.

Yea this fishes back was almost touching the guys chin in pic so I don't think that's an issue with this pic but I know what you mean
