I Have Bought Two Used Shimano Symetre 2500Fl <-- Not An Fl

Featured Replies

I really like them and can not find a thing about them anywhere. It is a little l not a capital L and I can find no pictures of them. They also say 5 bearing. And on the reel casing says SUPER STOPPER II. Any ideas on original price on these? Are they a good deal at $25 each?

I am going to have to buy a bale for one it is bent.

It's the symetre fi the model before the fj.

If the bail is bent you should just be able to bend it back in place unless it's really bad.

I never thought about that! I just assumed a lower case L.....and I see them on Ebay for around $45 to $60. I guess not too bad for $25 each. I like them so far anyway.

They were $80 new I believe so you did good at that price.

As long as the bail has clearance, being bent isn't a big issue, just bend it back.  Don't even need a bail, there are bailess reels, just a matter of getting comfortable feeding the line on to the line roller with your finger.  I removed the bale off my 4000 spheros, line was hanging up on the bale.

They sold for $99.00. Lynn
