I have not much experience with the d bombs, use alot of pit boss And jackal sakatui craws not the right spelling i know. But just seeing what yal use for general flippin bait

I've always been a fan of the big sized Pit Boss.  I picked up a package of D-Bombs and they seemed to be just as effective.  Same goes for the Fuzzy Beaver, which is very similar to the D-Bomb.  I fish very muddy water, so I thought the ridged body of the D-Bomb might send out a bit more vibes.  Who knows....

 

I also use them for jig trailers with great success.

 

I don't think you can go wrong with either, but I still prefer the Pit Boss because it comes in that big 5" version.  I'm a believer of the "big bait, big fish" thing.  :-)

The pit boss is a bit more durable and skips a smidge better. Other than that they both are great baits if you ask me. I still prefer a beaver just for the glide down on slack line.

The two you mention are both good.

I prefer the pitboss.

Not a big fan of the pit boss but I have been using the d bomb some lately and catching a few fish with them. My personnel favorite is the zoom big critter craw for my serious pitching days

D bomb for me.

Very soft and ribbed body pushes water and also captures air bubbles.

For some reason I never had the best success with a pit boss. I know people swear by them and catch a ton and I have caught some on them but not enough. A D-Bomb is easily one of my favorites and I fish the crap out of those and have caught countless fish. They also come in a baby version and that can be the ticket at times.

Same, only way I've ever caught anything with a pit boss was playing around with it on a dropshot.

The Missile Baits D Bomb has quickly become one of my favorite soft plastics. Fantastic flipping bait. 

Both are terrific flipping baits. To me it depends on the type of cover being fished. If you are flipping around wood, laydowns, or docks I would probably go with the pit boss. But if you are fishing around any kind of vegetation or punching, the D bomb is an awesome bait. Very streamlined and goes through grass very well. 

Can't go wrong with either. I like RI beavers, jackall chunk craws. Have a whole tub of various brands and colors.

Theres so many Beaver style baits my head spins just thinking about it. Try em all. Will say d bomb is great through heavier vegetation.

My go to flipping baits (when I am not using a jig) are the pit boss, chigger craws, and yum dingers....yes yum dingers. Against all interwebz expert knowledge.

D bomb for me in the spring, then I pretty much use the pit boss when the water is warm. Pit boss moves a lot more on the fall, d bomb is really subtle.

I have used the Pitboss T-rigged for years. Always productive, especially in that bleu sapphire color. I have tried the D bombs this year and haven't caught as many fish as with the Pitboss. It's funny because I bought a ton of the D bombs and they are much softer so I thought they would give better hook sets and I think they look better than the pitboss. But apparently the fish don't care about aesthetics. 

depends on if i'm pitching a jig or a t-rig

i'm a fan of flappin hogs as well as sausteki craws if i'm pitching a t-rig 

for jigs i normally use rage craws or chigger craws, some times a brush hog

T-rigged Pit Boss's have that wild flapping movement that even makes me want to eat it....

Itty bitty pit boss is a great flipping bait too. Regular pit boss gets most of my flipping.

Only decision I have to make when I'm flipping grass is which color pit boss I'm going to use
