I've not been on the water in several months,did pretty well on the spring bite. Fall is finally here & the water is cooling off, What baits are you having the best sucess on & color & location on the lake,i would think they should be moving back to shallow water again . God Bless & thanks

A couple of weeks back I was still catching them on the points with 6 inch jelly worms . The water temp was in the mid 60's . 

I've been doing really well on double willow blade spinnerbaits, black/blue jigs, as well as red lipless crankbaits. Water temps today were in the mid 50's, and I was catching them around submerged stumps/trees/various timber with a white spinner.

Jerkbait and bladed jig has been the deal for me this past week with water temps in the high 50's. 

Up here in north east, pretty much Keitechs and finesse worms. But I personally have sucked getting a pattern going. Caught fish in anywhere from 2ft all the way to 35ft. Buzz bait a close third.

Me too. 1/4 oz. squarebills along rip-rap banks have been good. 1/2 oz. blade baits in deeper water have also paid off.

Lipless cranks, 1/4oz spinnerbaits up shallow, wacky rigged finesse worms and I haven't thrown any squarebills yet..

Water here is in the high 40's and lower 50's. My best baits have been bladed baits and Keitech swing fatties. 

The last couple of times I have been out, 4"-5" straight worms and crankbaits have been the ticket.

Red Eye Shad struck again yesterday in eastern Kansas.

By far I have had the most success by using a KVD 1.5 squarebill in Sexy Shad. I have fished whole tournaments this fall using just this one bait and caught a lot of good fish. that and a shakeyhead off of long points with brush piles on them for the fish that live deep year round.

Jigs, crank baits, jerk baits and drop shot.

 

I just fish everything a little slower, and tend to use my finder to locate them, then just work the pockets.
