Will a fiberglass rod make a difference in my Chatterbait set-up?  I am still building my gear leading up to my third year of Bass fishing (only buy when the wife lets me or doesn't know) and as I branch out to learn all the techniques; I have to pay more attention to the reaction stuff.  Spinner bait, Chatterbaits, and Buzz baits etc. have really been ignored.  I just noticed that I have two rods that are not being used, and frankly, I forgot I had them. I listed my Rods and if anyone could let me know which would make the best Chatterbait rod or if I need to go out and get  a Fiberglass would be appreciated.  The first to Rods are the ones I forgot I had.  I was actually thinking of selling them if I need to go with a fiberglass.

I'm a Powell rod loyalist so, I cant give an opinion on the other brands.  But, I just picked up a Powell 3D Max 734 Saturday.  It is supposed to be their Spinnerbait, C-rig, Topwater rod, and I think that one would do fine for chatterbaits.  So, that 7' Medium Mod Fast tip Powell might be able to fit your need.  

A spinner bait Rod should do fine for chatterbaits. See the strike, wait until you feel it and set the hook. 

What ever rod you would throw a spinnerbait on thats what I throw my chatterbaits on.

I was just about to post that rod for sale on CL, but I may try the cumura and see how I like it.  I read so much on how to use the fiberglass rods for chatter baits that I was going to look for one. Looks like I have a couple of other choices too, that Phenix and one of the 7' Powell.

I agree. I use a 6' 6" MH/F LTB for my bladed jigs and that's the closest rod I see on your list. I have tried a few different glass rods for them and did not like it at all.
