Years ago  I purchased this lure in chrome . The plan was to use it for lunker bass when they are feeding on large shad . Its new in box , never have used it . with all the folks throwing large swim baits , wouldnt this be about the same thing ? Have any of you ever used one ? Its a six inch long lure .

Big plugs pass muster as big bass baits. They are not swimbaits, as actions are quite different. But they do work. Back before all the big swimbaits hit the world I used big plugs (and worms and SB's) to catch bigger bass from my waters. I came to realize that you almost can't go too big for LM's. It did decrease my overall catches, but also selected for big bass. I broke a few pond records doing it.

I bet it would get smacked if you waked it slowly across the surface like a Redfin.

I have a new Boyah Boo rig that holds 4 Twister tails , hooklesss and then you can add a crankbait .. Ive been thinking of trying  this lure on there around standing timber ..

Reel nice and slow so you get that big "V" wake and it will get smoked!!!!

Those aluminum hooks have to go .

The hooks are galvanized steel for use in salt water, not very sharp.

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing -change the hooks.

I've made wakers from Rebel and Rapala minnow plugs by gently heating the lip with a lighter and bending it downward. The lip on that Mac won't allow it, but I bet it has a pretty wide roll anyway.
