I know you're not going to tell us about all the bass you caught. ;)

Definitely going to need some elaboration. I feel like I had to stop reading what should be a wonderful book halfway through the first sentence...

I went to alaska when I was 14 for a week to fish, and I had the same reaction. I truly got the meaning of "fresh air" while I was there!

I never fished just went sightseeing. The best parts were seeing Mt. McKinley, Denali's wildlife,  glacial calving at the Marjerie  Glacier and whale watching out of Juneau. I would like to return some time in the future and try for the salmon when the glacial silt clears from the rivers. Apparently that is still a few weeks away. Eleven days just isn't enough time to absorb it all. If anyone gets the chance to visit, do it. It's well worth the effort.

Wife and I did an Alaskan cruise about 10 years ago and it truly was great. One of those rare times where I could just sit on deck and watch the world go by for hours as we cruised within sight of land - such amazing scenery everywhere you look, both on shore and in the ocean. I, too, would recommend a trip there to anyone.

That's like taking Kate Upton to the movies.....and watching the movie. :P

I have done a cruise there as well. Pictures do no justice. Seeing so many bald eagles was amazing. It was like pigeons in Chicago. Cannot wait for the chance to go back.

Was stationed on Adak for one year 17 days and twenty minutes many years ago.  Later went to Keni area to fish once...caught a ton....looked at all the bigness of the land....amazing.  Was ran off river by a grizzly.  Felt like bait in that big land surrounded by bears.  Would have to fish in a boat next time should I get to go again. :)   Wouldn't be a good sightseer...   Like to do stuff.
