Hiyo from Lebanon, Tn

Featured Replies

Hiyo everyone!

Recent transplant from Tampa, FL, now living in TN. I'm primarily a largemouth fisherman, bream and crappie on the side, but look forward to my first smallie and spot. Fish fish I ever caught was a small farm pond largemouth on the family farm in Arkansas, 28 years ago.

Looking forward to learning a lot here and hope I can help in any way as well.

Sandflea welcome  the forums. Boy you moved to a fisherman's paradise. I live in Baltimore MD. but drive 14 hours to get near your new home. If you own a boat, let me give you some places to fall in love with.  First go get real familiar with Center Hill Lake in the fall and spring. It has a good population of largies and a great population of big smallmouth and my favorite big kentuckies. The fish in my avatar is a 7 pound Kentucky spot from Center Hill Lake.  That lake is east of you, turn south off rt 40 onto 56, at the Silver Point exit( going towards Smithville)  They are working on its dam as we speak. There are some gorgeous waterfalls feeding into that lake also. We boated almost right up to an 80 footer, it was so cool. Next going east a bit further checkout the home of the world record smallie Dale Hollow. I can not tell you how incredible that lake has been to me. My wife and I have caught a ton of 5 to 7 pound smallies there during several vacation weeks. West of you are Old Hickory and J Percy Priest  which I have done some boat testing on, but never fished . The next major lake to go to is Chicamagua which is kicking out world record bags of largies. These are just a few. I am jealous. But again welcome.
