im wondering how you guys do it. i really like the tru tungsten bullets and when i use a beaver i like to peg the weight but my problem is when i get done and i wanna take the weight off i cn get the peg out. i use a tooth pick. how do you guys get your peg out or what do you use as a better way of pegging they are to expensive for 1 use.

Find yourself a safety-pin with wire-diameter just a little less than the hole in your bullet sinker.

To remove the toothpick segment, run the safety-pin through the bullet sinker,

then close the pin and store it in your tackle box.

i use a totth pick also an all you have to do is break it off so that there is a little bit(just enough to grab onto) stick out the front.ive never had a problem that way

I peg with a toothpick using a lead bullet weight.Have no probs,and if I lose one it's no big deal.If you are so concerned about losing a $1.00 weight,use lead or don't peg.Please everybody,no sermons on the evils of using lead.I've heard 'em all.

Toothpick, lead weight, paper clip carried in storage.  Pushes out the toothpick just fine.

I cut the business end of a hook off and use the straight part to push the tooth pick out.  Works like a charm.

What John. J. uses is by far the best - cheap, very handy and quick to use, and you can also pull it out very easily from the bottom of the sinker when you need to unpeg without damaging the line (or lure if you use sensitive lures like GYCB). Before using them I tried almost everything but was never satisfied....

If I feel the necessity to peg a sinker I go to the Gambler Florida Rig.

I use bobber stops and beads above tungston works great and gets a little rattle going.

My peg is a little more unique and as cheap as it gets.   Cut a 1/2" section of a strand from a silicone skirt.  Now cut a 5 or 6" piece of mono.  Double the mono up and thread both tag ends through the weight (either end) after you have threaded your main line through the weight.  Pull the tag ends almost completely through leaving a small loop on the end of the weight.  Stick the skirt strand halfway through the loop.  Now pull the tag ends through thus pulling the skirt piece into the weight, doubled up.  Leave a little skirt piece sticking out of the weight and pull out the mono piece from one end only.  Pegged and harmless.

Keep some paper clips to push out the pegs.

I like the Gambler Flroida Rig weights with the goop in them.  Just don't lose the threader!

Why ruin a spinnerbaits if you can use any other strong wire?

i use those things that john j posted and they are cheap and have worked well.

I second the use of bobber stoppers.

Personally, I ALWAYS peg my sinker in a T-rig.  And as such, I use the bullet weights with the screw.

Do they make tungsten weights with the screw?  Then again, they're expensive enough already.

If you're not married to the idea of tungsten, pick up a few packs of the bullet weights with screws for the price of 1 or 2 tungsten weights.

heres something i came up with a couple years ago... take some really skinny rubber bands and you just tie a double overhand knot above the bullet weight and cut off the tag ends. Make sure you lick the rubber band before tieing so that it can be tightened without breaking. The rubber band will slide up and down the line when you move it, but otherwise stay put, so it could be adjusted if you need it to be. Also when you hook a fish the rubber band either comes off or slides way up the line allowing the bullet weight to get away from the hook, which reduces chances of a hook coming out.
