20 Sept 2016 No Fish & Not Happy ~

For the first time in a while, I spent several, I say again Several hours on the water without anything in the way of fish catching.  Oh I did a boat load of fishing, just not catching.  I guess I was getting a little spoiled there as I've had a pretty decent run lately.  Perhaps the 3 1/2 INCHES of Big Fat Rain we had the night before had something to do with it.  I should have known better.

Anyway, about half way through the day I took my frustrations out on the Garmin Virb.

FYI ~ Zeroed for the day ~ Jambalaya.

:P

Sorry, sir.

Better days ahead...before the snow.

And nice to know you're also part of the
Knucklehead club. :)

Oh Yea ~

I'm part of the club alright and after that performance I'd have to be in line for some type of promotion or something  . . .

Living up to every bit of that new Gaffy Shortstick name

Jambalaya...?  Is that a new curse word you just made up?  I always considered Jambalaya a good thing.

A couple of years ago I made a rather long & what ended up to be rather fishless thread here on BR that revolved around my venture into "Stitching" a big worm.  I kept getting skunked and rather than making 'I got skunked again" posts I started using the term Jambalaya -

It was there fore most appropriate yesterday.

Gotcha.  You'll have to explain the practice of "stitching" big worms to me at some point.  I'm still a novice at not catching fish.

Scratch that.  Just researched.  Doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun.

Just about everything's fun when the fish are suicidal ~ but had a real hard time finding any.

That was an outstanding tutorial.  Very positive.  You showed great calm, maturity, and self resolve.  I myself, in your circumstance,  would have sat in the bow of my boat in a zen like pose, drenched myself in gasoline and set myself on fire. But that's just me.;)

I suppose that's true, and the very reason we have catfish noodlers.

Congart A-jay you gat a big image.jpg today.?

Ouch!!

There you have it, newbies -- even the Big Dogs get a whiff of the skunk sometimes.

Ajay's old stitching thread is actually an epic, gripping read, despite it's relative fishlessness (relative of course, given it is still fishier than this thread). I liked it so much I bookmarked it:

If no one else is catching then getting skunked doesn't bother me so bad.  It stings when you are the only one not catching.
