I'm curious as to see what your favorite card games are...? Preferably unorthodox.. I'm looking to learn some new games while camping or on the weekends at the house. My two favorites by far are Texas hold em. And cribbage. 

I could play Rook or Rummy all night long.  I do not gamble though.

Me and the wife play gin, in the army we would play spades every night for weeks. Need 4  people for that. And coming up as a kid my favorite game was BS.

Uno but I don't recommend gambling on it. That's how bad habits start.

@Gundog uno is fun lol. I remember playing a more aggressive version where if someone played a draw two (or draw 4) then you could play one if you had it.. and the next person would have to draw 4 (or 8) . Pretty funny watching someone go from 2 to 10 .

pineapple is like holdem except you get three cards and discard one before the flop. crazy pineapple you discard after the flop. lazy pineapple you discard after the river.

Tahoe pitch and roll is a 7 card stud game. only difference is you start with 4 cards, you discard 1 and you choose which of the last 3 goes face up, the other two face down and 7 card stud begins.

@bigfruits that's the only difference ??? Between pineapple and hold em? Is you get dealt three and get to discard one before the flop? That sounds like a pretty good way to make bigger hands lol.

hold 'em first and foremost, but i like to play a little omaha from time to time too.  always played gin rummy as a kid with my mom. 

Rummy for me. My buddies tried to ge me to play pitch. I never grasped it but we had loads of fun.

Hold em, 5 or 7 Card Stud and/or Draw, and Spades. 

We would play hold em every other weekend with a $20 buyin and a $10 buy back till midnight. We would start about 8pm with loads of whisky and usually 10 to 15 players. I had friends crashed out all over the place. Was great fun when your young.

I can't believe euchre hasn't been mentioned yet. You need 4 people but it is fun
