So I know the general rule of thumb is that once the water drops below 60 degrees the rig starts to come into play (yes I know it can work in warm water I'm just speaking in general terms). What I'm curious about is how cold of water you guys have caught them in with the rig?

I actually don't think I've ever fished it below 60 deg. My answer would be about 62 deg. Keep in mind I'm in south Alabama tho.

Ever fish millers ferry?

I really don't think the water can be too cold for the rig. As long as the water is soft, I'd be willing to give it a shot. Switch to lighter heads, and fairly good sized blades to help with lift so you can really fish it slowly, and it should still be plenty effective. I was catching fish on it on Grand with the water temps in the low 40's, so I know for a fact it will work in temps that low.

Have not. That's on the Alabama river right? I mainly fish the Chattahoochee river system

I'd really appreciate it Blue if you could place a call to the local bass population up here and let them know because I don't think they got that memo . . .

i've used them all year long in Florida. not my go to bait but when I see em schooling I grab it and go.
