A new PB

Definitely not my target species, but it sure was a fun fight! Right at 22 pounds, kicked off my new years and continued attempt to learn blade baits with a bang!

Congrats? Is that the right word here? Lol! That sure is an ugly fish to about everyone but mother drum. At any rate that one is massive and a PB is a PB so congrats my friend!

Well dang, Blue! Start off the New Year with a PB.

Not bad at all, I'd say! :)

Sound like a big fight on bass set up, thumb up man?

I don't think drum are ugly at all ? I don't know why everyone says that.. the only thing that is disturbing to me is their teeth...  But from this view . I don't know why people insist they are ugly.  Looks like fun to me.

I thought you had a Redfish at first glance .

It is a type of drum, after all.

Looks like you had a pretty good fight bringing that drum in.  Good job!

Me too usually, but there was no way this one was going to be a bass. I was hoping for a monster wiper, then a big blue, but it was still a fun fight and pretty neat catch. At least I caught a fish on a blade bait to keep me going with them.

That was a 7' MH Lightning Rod Shock with a Pflueger President baitcaster. It was actually my first cast with the whole setup. Ffo had the rods for  $22 buy one get one half off, couldn't really pass them up at that price.

Nice - Thanks.

And you're hooking PB's right from the Git-go. (not exactly sure what Git-go really is but I say it all the time)  ..  ..  ..

Nice!  I'd rather catch those than than all the d**n pike I get.  22lbs! wow, nice fish!

My biggest drum might have gone 3lb.  Never caught one chasing bass but I have caught them fishing carp/suckers in the river.

Wow, very nice fish. That is far larger than any drum I have caught. Great fish...
