Do you favor the smaller whopper plopper 90 or

the 5 inch 130 version and why? Also, what color do you prefer?

I have found they both catch small and large fish.

The small catches more

130 for me! It will cast a country mile.

I've had a lot of issues with the 90 not plopping for the first 5-10 feet of the retrieve.Catches fish still.Never used the 130.

I have both and prefer the 130. It seems to call fish from farther, and has a much more consistent action in rough water. The 90 tends to get swallowed up and frankly "lost" in any kind of chop. That and I can cast the 130 insanely far on casting gear.

Ive had the same issue with the 90.   I got a few of the 130s this winter so I'm going to try them this season.  Both sizes catch fish but  feedback Ive heard is better success on the 130.    I like perch and loon for colors

I have a 130 in perch. I haven't tried a 90, but the 130 is good size. The 130 will definitely work when there is a chop on the water, and you have to put most other topwaters away.

130 is a great size.  There are lots of good colors.  I have had lots of success with loon.

The 90 for sure...Get small and big ones...fav. color is bone

90 in perch has caught quite a few

I haven't fished with them yet but I bought both sizes.  I have Perch, T-1000, and Pacman in the 90.  Perch and Munky Butt in the 130. I plan on adding one more 130, probably loon.

i use the 90 in blue blood hands down my favorite top water I have 130 but 90 gets more fish

I own several of both in T1000, Munkey Butt, Bone, Sooner, I Know it, and Shad. They've all been good baits for both numbers and size.

I have both sizes and have probably caught three times as many fish in the 90 as I have on the 130. I have had bass hit the 90 so hard right at dark that they have knocked it straight up in the air.

Thanks for the responses.  I have another question.  Is the 90 version still big/heavy enough to cast adequately with a bait caster?

I only fish mine on casting gear, a 7' M/F with 20lb braid to be exact.

I use a Dobyn's m/f with 30lb braid on a Lew's BB1. I've found that the 90 is tad small, get lost in the water and has a tendency to roll. Meanwhile the 130 is just a bit bigger than I need fishing my local ponds. I heard that they are making a 110 size.

My philosophy on topwaters is simply black or white, or in whopperplopper colors: Loon and Bone.

I have had a lot better luck keeping the 130 version running true that I have with the 90.
