Today in Florida, we averaged around 68 deg Fahrenheit.

HOWEVER, we're expected to plummet into the 30s tonight!!

There goes my tomato garden   :sad-021:

What type of tomatoes are you currently growing in your garden?I like growing the Roma tomatoes and use them for making sauces.

Most that we grow are just chilled, salted and eaten whole (we take them fishing too).

We plant several cultivars but "Heatwave" seems best adapted to central Florida (9B),

followed by Arkansas Traveler and Heatmaster.

Man, last time out for me was mid to late October. I won't be able to really get on the water for another month in the very least. That will be 6 months!!! I have come to the realization that i actually do not fish that much even though it feels like i do. I can't take the north. Can't take it anymore.

I hear ya brother.

Hold on to that feeling and remember it the next time someone asks "you're going fishing again ?'

Lucky for me I have a 3,000 acre nuke discharge lake at my disposal.  It's private but I have a friend who has access via a community ramp.  If I can get there, I can fish.  I will say this.....towing a 21 foot boat in the snow is no fun.  Surge brakes and slick roads are a whole different experience.

Oh I don't mind the snow at all...in fact we LOVE to play in the snow and unfortunately Vermont has had 3 straight pathetic snow winters (last year we had a green Christmas for only the 2nd time in my 43 years on this rock) which dramatically affects our economy as we are mostly a tourist State and rely on good snow winters for skiing and snowmobiling but even so...would have much rather gotten this storm back in December or January :).
