I got this boat after my grandaddy passed away as a gift and I decided to redo it from the hull up.  It started as a 89 model Fisher boat with a center console.  The way it was set up was not the best in the world, so I did some research and built my own setup.  I used l-angle aluminum for all my bracing.  I have 1-1/2" in some places and 1" in other places.  I secured everything with bolts, flat washers, lock washers, and self locking nuts.  I also used self tapping metal screws to secure the bracing to the hull cross members.  I used 1/4" treated plywood and covered it with 16 oz marine carpet from bassboatcarpets.com.  I used 3M Hi-Strength 90 Spray Adhesive to glue the carpet to the plywood.  My console was the orginal center console that I cut down and re-angled to fit as a side console.  I plan to get a molded console later down the road.  I also had to purchase a new gas tank to fit under the rear deck.  It was a very nice winter project last year and it really turned out good.  Ive been fishing on the boat since May '06 and haven't had any problems so far.  If you have any questions please feel free to ask me.  I hope this helps somebody else build there own setup. Never been tan, just the aluminum.  It has a '95 50hp Evinrude.

I've done several rebuilds and I can tell you that's a fine one, lots of attention to details.

Personally I would have welded every thing and use sheet aluminum instead of plywood.

Yea I wanted to do that but I didnt have the tools for it so plywood had to do the job this time.  Everything is solid though and the boat is not that heavy.  As for paint, I thought about painting it yellow and black with just a lil yellow above the water and black under it with some kind of strip seperating the two colors, but who knows.

I say around $600 for the total rebuild maybe a lil less. The most expensive thing was all the aluminum.  As for hours I had right many in it but it was a winter long project and I work on it here and there.  Thanks for all the compliments.
