All weather bibs?

Featured Replies

Interested to see what everyone's experience's have been with bibs. Is their anything out there that's comfortable enough for colder weather but also won't be terribly hard on you if it rains during warmer weather. Any info is appreciated

Thanks

Wes

Gander Mtn. has a set of mid/light weight bibs that I picked up on sale in April.  They're light enough for 70-80 temps. and I've worn them comfortably over jeans with temps in the high 30's . With them going out of business, you may be able to get a pair for $50-$60

huk cabelas guidewear  bps 100 mph all good suits all pricey. ive been wearing the huk and really like it

Thanks to all for your replies. I'll definitely look into all of those. Something that will work from upper 30s to mid 80s would be perfect.

After trying others from Huk, BPS, Gill, HH, I always land back on Simms.  I have two pair and have zero issue with them.  If I have a choice, I won't wear any other.

The Simms seem pretty comfy and breathable

So Simms is okay for 80+ days too ?

Yeah.

I mean, they're warm but not terrible.

Just got them, but I wore my Frabill Gale suit a couple times the last few weeks and they've been very comfortable in cold temps or warmer days. Considering the huge discount I got on them, I've been very happy.

I just got back from a 10 day trip to Canada and it rained on us 7 of those days. My new Huk suit never let me get wet. It's definitely a thinner material that's better suited for warmer days. My Frabill F3 suit is a thicker material and much hotter in warm weather.

I was going out for the second time with a guide on the Delaware river and it was supposed to be miserable rain, but hot.  My dad had recently bought some cabelas guidewear so I got the same setup, but black and red (KVD was my idol at the time).  This has been the BEST purchase/investment in gear I have made.  I got the uninsulated version, and I just layer up during cold weather.  This is an absolutely bombproof setup in my opinion.
