I would put this in rods and reels but the "sales" threads seem to all be in this subforum. Looking for a St. Croix spinning rod for bass fishing on sale. Looking for a Premier or higher quality. A friend's birthday is coming up and he's never had a nice rod. There are plenty of nice ones out there but he said he'd like to buy himself a St. Croix someday, so I'm going to try to make that happen. I figure with July 4th coming up this weekend something might pop up. Please post if you know of any sales on St. Croix rods. Thanks in advance.

I dont see any sales going on the more popular websites, if you live somewhere that is close to a Gander Mountain, the sales are up to 25% off where I live since Gander Mountain is going out of business. Dont know if this really helped or not

Doesn't Tackle warehouse have a 4th of July sale? I know they just ran a Memorial weekend sale.

On line is free shipping no tax that's like 8 percent off in most places.  If it's a dream rod get at an authorized deeper so he can register it.  The waranty changes between diffrent levels.  Avids used to be lifetime but the avid-x is like 15 now.  Same blank.

If you ever get to Park Falls WI they always have a decent markdowns section.

I'd call up St. Croix and see what they have in the factory store.  I called last year and got leftover Rage rods for $50 a pop.

I just put a Legend Elite casting rod in my basket. $400 marked down to $340, but only in the basket. Now I know.

I put an Avid in the cart and it knocked it down to $170. But I agree that not everything is on sale.

Pretty much everything "excluded" from the sale is actually included, they just can't advertise as such. The one big exception is Megabass

Did you call TW and ask about it? The discount on the "excluded" items won't show up in the cart, but on the final invoice you'll receive via email. Also, the discount won't apply to out of stock/pre-order items

I can't wait. Most of my spinnerbait rods are MH Fast action with lure ratings up to an ounce. This one is 1/4 up to 5/8ths. We'll see. I'm sure I can find a use for it.

You sir, are correct.  I ordered the Chronarch MGL and didn't see the discount until the confirmation email.  Nice surprise.
