Featured Replies

Could you please recommend some good swimbaits already pre-rigged with a hook?My fingers are pretty stiff and don't move the way I need them to.

Huddleston, Mattlures, Optimum, Savage Gear all make good baits that have a proven record for me.

What size and weight swimbaits?

Tom,

I'm trying to catch bass in the 10" to 18" size.

Live Target has some awesome top hook baits. They also have a bottom accessory pin so you can add a treble hook or spinner blade.

Molix SS swimbaits should meet your needs, TW.

Optimum Baby Line Thru is a great option that's not too expensive and pretty durable. Comes in a variety of sizes but you'll probably be best suited with a 4 or 5 inch version.

Storm's Wildeyed Shads are great baits for just about any species. Very inexpensive and available everywhere. They work!

Good Morning Everyone,

Thank you for all this great information. I will start buying a few of the brands you folks recommended. Then I will give them all a try.

I have to agree. But I'm not throwing swimbaits a high percentage of the time. About 1/5 of my fishing. I find the Storms productive and easy to find. I've been using chartreuse garlic dipping dye on them.

Wish I could find some that are a black and silver minnow pattern that are more black than silver. Been touching some of them up with a sharpie. They are east to work with.
