I am in the market for a new baitcaster and have narrowed it down to these two reels. My only concern othe svs infinity braking system the casitas has. I'm familiar with magnetic brakes and centrifugal brakes together but not how the svs infinity braking system works. Thanks for any input. 

Get the shimano. Much better reel imo. I know a lot of guys like the lews but I prefer the shimano 

Another vote for the Shimano. With most Shimano's, once you get the brakes set, you never have to adjust the internal brakes again. Furthermore, most Shimano's are basically set from the factory. Just set your spool tension knob, use your thumb, and you're set.

i would also go with shimano im a daiwa guy but i prefer my shimanos to my tournament mg

I have 3 lews speed spools and really like, just got into baitcasters the last year or so. Never used the shimano reels so I couldn't compare.

I say go with the citica or curado. I prefer aluminum frames. 

In all honesty, I have had great luck with both companies. I'd just get the one I felt more comfortable with. Lews and shimano are both solid. 

The svs is easy. Set to two breaks on. Set your cast control knob to let the bait move with slight resistance, and keep the dial at 2 or 3. From there, just adjust the dial to where you are comfortable and what you are throwing. 

Casitas all day bro I had an lfs I just sold it was solid but horrible casting Centrifugal brakes are easy to learn don't be afraid of them. I currently own a Casitas I should add.

Speed Spool for me. I've owned both reels. The Casitas feels like it has a lot of flex to it to me. It cast well and felt smooth but struggled under a load. The speed spool cast well but wasn't the smoothest. It handled fish without any issues. I sold the Casitas, the Speed Spool ended up on the side of the road somewhere when it slid out of my truck bed during a kayak, pond hopping day. 

I have the Casitas, very nice reel. Great caster and fun to use.

Why wouldn't you look at a Fuego CT if you like magnetic brakes?

I did look at that reel but can't find one in a left hand retrieve locally.

I'd like to be able to buy locally at good prices, but that ain't ever going to happen in my area.  Well, maybe Dick's Sporting Goods occasionally, but I'd prefer to support a mom and pop shop if possible.  ebay is your friend.
