Tracker 2018 Heritage/2019 Classic edition boat

Featured Replies

How is everyone running new transom transducer cables? And getting the hook units cable out. I was just curious if that panell behind the drivers seat is easy to take off and replace.

Still have not recieved gift card. How did you guys get yours?Had boat out for 9th trip yesterday,I don't see fuel tank size being a problem.Usually out 10-12 hours running from spot to spot to fish, and have never used more than 1/2 tank.I would say 2 gallons per hour at cruising speed is about right. You guy's probably fish bigger lakes than me.Trolling motor battery has never showed signs of even getting low,i don't keep it on constant, but use it all day.I don't run outboard over 5600 rpm, don't know what max is.Caught 8 fish last time, nothing under 2lbs.They are finally making they're move here.

My gift card came by email and not too long after I signed the papers for the boat.

It's about two months for me and I don't have my $400 card yet.  The other day I flashed them the e-mail on my phone and they used that :happy-cheerleader-130:.

The email from tracker boats says it is the gift card. At least mine does. Looks like my email arrived in 8 days.

Check your spam email....that's where mine was.  Took about one week after purchase

Very easy.  I had to take it off to rewire my boat running light that was unhooked for some reason.  4 screws I think

I am seeing some people have the scepter gas tank....mine happens to be a quicksilver 6.6 gallon.....wonder why they would be different?  Is this a dealer choice or tracker??

I have the 6.6 quicksilver, not sure which is better?

I am reading about the fuel pick up line in the quicksilver's being crappy.  The tube is on a plastic nipple with no clamp so it works its way off and will possibly leave you stranded.  So I am taking mine out tomorrow....4 screws and putting a hose clamp on.

Nice! I saw a few on my drive tonight. I'm still waiting on iceout here for fishing.

I got to have something to do outdoors while waiting for my boat.

Got my boat out today....now half way broken in.....no fishing just breaking the boat in.....has prop chatter....have not experienced this but they say it is not unusual. Don't know the answer to getting rid of it  but gonna try and get a remedy for it for sure.....otherwise Im very happy with the boat and looking forward to learning how to catch some fish....Best to all of ya

On the water!

First impressions:

Boat feels more substantial than expected.

Steering is heavier and slower than the Lund with the Honda 50hp that my father-in-law uses.

4100 rpm indicated equates to 21 mph.

Boat is pretty quiet and smooth even in rough water.

Boat is wetter than the Lund in rough water.

Boat is very stable when using the casting decks.

All of the access panels are loose and I've started routing the cables for the new depth finders I'm installing.

The tips of the tail feathers makes me think it's a Merriam, but isn't there usually white tips on the feathers on the tail feathers closer to the body? Either way nice bird. I love chasing them around. Our first season starts the end of this month.

Thank you

Its probably an hybrid, we have 3 sub species of turkey in Nebraska, Eastern,Rio & Merriam. Most of the birds in our state are kind of a mutt, depending on what part of the state you are hunting in will determine the mixture. I'm not far enough west to get a true Merriam, Yes you are correct about the coloration of the tail on a Merriam. so you could pull off a 75 % of a grand slam in Nebraska then travel south to Florida for the Osceola.

I had 6 hens and 2 Toms come in to my set up, Took him from 20 yards away with my X-bow

Congrats on the boat D

What part of Nebraska you from? I used to deer hunt in Chadron. A Merriam is on my bucket list. They are beautiful birds in my eyes.

The panel with the motor controls and the panel that covers the cables as they run to the back were easy to get off/loose, I used a square bit driver and didn't have any problems. I haven't had time to remove the old Hook unit yet, but the cables are exposed, and I've laid my new transducer cable in place.

Mine was so hard to get off.. I will.try again... I ended up cutting .y hook 3 cable and sofering it back together.  I did a pretty good job in the end, but man I wish I could get the cover off!

What's the plastic black tube for?

So a few pages back I posted my fix for storing the stern light.  The foam was awfully white under the console.  I don't have any brown but I do have some orange paint on hand. Heritage orange.

That's pretty much it and modification for awhile.  I might get some transom straps, but it's not a priority.  I'll run it as is this summer and see what I want to change, maybe a bimini.  I'll be glad when more people get their boats and see what they do to them.

I laid my light behind the seats.  It fits great and the seats don't interfere at all.  Works well for me.  My cooler goes between the seats is exactly 18" wide and tucks in great....It all seems to work neatly for now..

I'm in South East Nebraska

I have spent a little time in Nebraska.. Sutton, Grand Island, Hastings area.  Farm land and corn.  Fished there a couple times.  I enjoyed it.  Flat and windy... Or just HOT.  Never been there in the colder months.

Jaime, are you talking about the long black tube under the panels on the starboard side of the boat that is about 1/16" in diameter?

Mine seemed to be open on at least one end and I have no idea what it would be for. It seemed too small to be a pitot tube feed to a speedometer if the boat was equipped with one.

I've got all my depth finders mounted, a Hook 7 on the console and a Hook 4 on the trolling motor. All of the cables are routed and the panels are all back together and secure. It didn't take too long at all. I plan on using the Hook 3 on my kayak. All I need now is for the wind to die down, and I'll be headed to the lake.

Anyone else have a problem with the removable seat pedestal coming unscrewed all the time?  Never had a boat so not sure if this is common.  It comes lose and becomes noisy...I am constantly screwing it back in
