War Eagle Vs Nichols Spinnerbaits

Featured Replies

Has anyone fished with both of these? If so which do you like better? I’ve heard both make really good quality spinnerbaits, so I’m kinda in a jam and i’m Wondering which one I should get? Thanks

I have fished, and currently fish, with both of these. They are both great spinnerbaits and I carry a bunch of each brand whenever I go out. The Nichols are more durable and will hold up a lot longer, but the War Eagles really catch fish too.

The War Eagles have a slightly smaller profile (I use the Screaming Eagle exclusively) so I generally let the fish tell me what they are in the mood for.

You can call Nichols and he will make up water blade combination you want; example double Indiana blades for slower deep presentation.

Buy both and decide what works for you.

Try them both, choose the one you like, and send me the one you don't want.

They'e both good in their own ways. I tend to lean towards the war eagle more than the nichols. I tend to use war eagle on river systems for some reason they are the deal and Nichols work amazing on fresh water lakes. War eagle in my opinion have better bait fish imitation colors probably why they work on river systems and nichols has more detailed specific skirts for variety of water colors and forage
