Bass Pro Shops Kermy Frogs

Featured Replies

What's your view on them? They have some interesting colors and patterns, but multi people on the BPS website said the paint came off, leaving them with a white frog.

Most frogs have a white belly. The belly is the only part of the frog a fish will see. I don't see a problem unless it really bothers you that the hidden part of your frog doesn't have a cool design.

I don't get too caught up in colors on my frogs. I like my white, black, and brown Booyahs, regular and popping frogs (and soon some of the Toad Runners), and I'm good.

I try and match the color of the frogs I use to the real frogs that live around the lake.

I bought a few of these because they were about half the price of the Spro ones and they seem to work OK.  Lately I haven't caught bass on ANY frogs though...can't even get a fish to strike one.

I hear ya. I haven't been able to catch bass on frogs, other than in ponds with glassy banks. Nothing at lakes, though.

Caught my PB on a black Kermi. That's the only color I use now, that or bk/bl. I think for me is that the bass sees the silhouette and I think black or bk/bl will do that the best. Then again anything solid can block the light and create a silhouette. It just keeps it simple for me color wise. I do have some other colors but Black or Bk/Bl is my go to. The only sort of downside is they do take on water more frequently than let say a Booyahs, but that's no biggie just squeeze a little more often.
