Finally got Polar Kraft 195 out for first time!

Featured Replies

Finally got to take my new boat to the lake for it’s maiden voyage. I put 2 hours of run time, pretty much going by what the manual says, and the last 30 minutes to get it to 2 hours, I played with it a little higher in the rpms at short bursts.
full tank of gas, 2 people (210 lbs & 145lbs)
Winds were around 20 mph out of the south, and the lake ran north-south. So I got a real good idea how this boat will handle in 2 ft rollers, and all I can say is that I am freaking impressed!!! Running a 14x23 Suzuki SS prop, it jumped on plane faster than any boat I’ve ever been in! Unbelievable hole shot! Initially I thought that it was under propped because of how quick it plained. It took the 2 ft rollers like a glass boat! I’ve owned MANY glass boats (Stratos 181 Pro, Hydrasports 196; Skeeter 202ZX, Basscat Puma, Champion 183) and this boat feels like a glass boat! NO “tin slap” what so ever. It handled those 2 ft rollers like a glass boat! It is a beast! I’ve never been in a tin mod V that rode as nice! I know that I only have a couple hours seat time, but this boat has surpassed my expectations!
I got to take it to “almost” WOT, at 5800 rpms (max rpms is 6200), at 49.8 mph gps. I think I could have gotten all 6200 rpms, at about 54’ish if I would have tried. Not a speed demon ( no pad) but I’ll take the way it rides and takes on rough water over speed any day up here on these smaller lakes, and Lake Erie.
The Suzuki is freaking awesome! It’s quite as hell & power out the ass!
Left the lake wanting more! Didn’t want to get away from behind that wheel!
Can’t wait till I’m back out there!

Great to hear and glad you're happy with it.

I'm also a Suzuki fan, wait'll you find out how little gas it uses...

We fished Lake of the Woods for a week last summer, every day, all day, all on less than one tank of gas.  Filled it up when we got back, pennies over $80.00.
