He has done it a lot in his career...He got away with a goaltender though but they also missed the out of bounds call the previous play so it all evens out.

I watch a lot of hoops and that's the first time I recall him ever winning an important playoff game on a final shot (of his own) To say he has done that "a lot in his career," you're gonna have to prove it. I gave him props for doing it last night. He also made all of his free throws which is rare, he was in the zone and feeling it. Even if they called that last play goal tending, his 3 at the buzzer still wins it

It's a 2 horse race. Warriors or Rockets are the only ones with a chance. This is why they should do away with conferences. The WCF will decide the champion.

Go Dubs! Let the games (playoffs) begin!   As for changing the playoff format, why? IMO, it makes for interesting debate, but doesn’t solve the anything. Changing the format would take away

The Dubs vs the Cavs Part IV. Once again the two best teams in the Association meet in the Finals and I’m definitely looking forward to this years edition.

I’d have to agree with you when it comes to the playoffs. The biggest bucket in Cavs history was made by a guy who is now on the Celtics roster...

Ironically the Cavs wouldn't have the services of either guards in todays playoffs because of surgeries on Kyrie or Isaiah if they had stayed with the Cavs.

So I’m guessing all lebrons were in first round and all Jordan’s were in finals? (Except the one on ehlo). I did say “important” playoff game

Pretty sure 3 of Lebron's were in eastern conference finals games and I only remember one of jordan's in the finals against Utah.  I guess i will have to look it up

So far I have found 2 lebron playoff buzzer beaters (other than the one earlier this week) one was to win game 2 vs the magic in the eastern conference finals in 2009, a series the magic won 4-2 (can’t quite call that heroic). Another was 2 yrs ago to tie in the eastern semis vs the bulls. Micheal Jordan hit a buzzer beater to win a national CHAMPIONSHIP before he even entered the NBA

this is just typical though of jordan fans.  I brought up the statistics and they are downplayed or qualified.  A game winning shot is a game winning shot, period.

and yes, MJ did hit a game winner in college in what his sophomore year?  Lebron was leading his NBA team to a 42 win season instead.  Hardly a comparison....

Well In my opinion a game winning shot for a championship is a notch above a game winning shot for game 2 of the semifinals. If that’s typical of a Jordan fan, which I am, then sign me up. You play to win the championship, that’s the goal and MJ wouldn’t be denied. Lebron is a great player and continues to do things I didn’t think he would, he could win a championship this season. But at the end of a game, give me MJ.

He was actually denied quite often, more than half of his career he never even had the chance to win it cause he never got there.

Anyways i am ticked at the lack of effort the sixers put out there tonight.  I figured they would be rusty after nearly a week off but i think they listened to all the sports talking heads and thought they were better than they are.  The lack of effort was appalling and even though Boston shot lights out, their effort on defending the perimeter was atrocious.

MJ- 6 trips to the finals, 6 finals mvp awards. LeBron wasn't the best player on the court in last year's finals

Correct, and the ones near the end are more important

The Cavs stole one from the Raptors.

That loss by the raptors may really mess with their psyche too...i think they have been swept by cleveland the past few seasons.

Lebron is hands down the most complete player to ever step foot on a basketball court plain and simple. He can score, pass, rebound, and defend 1-5 at as high a level as anyone (when he chooses to). Not to mention the man is 33 years old and having the best season of his career. He somehow defies age and continues to get better while we’re all scratching our heads.

I’ll still give the scoring nod to Jordan, but you can put Lebron on the worst team in the league and that team instantly becomes a playoff threat.

The proof?

Lebron singlehandedly carried the worst playoff roster ever to the finals in 2007 at the age of 22. Unless you’re a Cavs fan, I bet you can’t name one person on that roster. Jordan never made it to the finals until he got pippen, Rodman, Kerr, etc.

That Rockets loss was brutal...

@5by3, I totally agree that any team LeBron plays for will be in contention for a title. He has taken some bad teams to the finals and some really good teams to the finals. Three of lebrons finals losses were with "big 3" superteams (one to the Mavs one to the Spurs and one to the warriors). As for an honset guess at that ragged 07 team LeBron dragged to the finals, (from a non Cavs fan without googling), I  will guess taj Gibson andeson varejo and aldrunis ilgauskus???

Sixers are done.  Their lack of athleticism, other than Embiid and Simmons, and lack of coaching and the ability to make adjustments has killed us.  I've said it from the beginning that the team is young and the coach is average at best but so many people were all hyped after a 16 game win streak against sub .500 teams.  I just hope we can win at least one game...

I’m hoping for a miracle from philly but it looks like Boston is finishing games much better. Sixers did look dominant at the end of the regular season, I was hoping they would represent the east. The talking heads on ESPN were hinting that poor coaching has lost them every game against Boston so far

Coaching has been poor for a while now but everyone gave him a pass because of the previous GM tanking.  What i have seen is a lack of adjustments, poor substitution patterns and the inability to gameplan based on the players on the roster.  I just hope we win a game instead of being embarrassed for another game.

The Toronto Raptors sure made the Cavs look good.

Well, just goes to show this is a fishing forum and not a forum for NBA experts. Nothing about 16-3 (after tonight) in the conference semis screams parity to me. LOL!!!!!!

But some of you guys saw GS or HOU getting bounced in the first round.
