Stout swimjig

Featured Replies

I think I found the hooks for my heavy duty swim jigs. I know I  know, I should have gotten the Hack Attack swimjigs and be done with it, but I really wanted to make my own. I like them! The hooks used are the Mustad 32850NP and the VMC 7217.

You want to see a heavy duty swim jig look at war baits.  There for salt and I think you could tow a car with the hook.

Looks good.... may I ask what mold you’re using?

It’s a poison tail I had a machinist modify to accept those hooks.

The skirt is upside down on that bottom jig. As for heavy hooks for swimjigs I am going to stick with the Gamakatsu ones from Lurepartsonline as they are really sharp.
