HELP ME!! Someone please talk me off the ledge. I asked for a Fuego CT 7:3:1 for Fathers Day and now think I need a 5:3:1 also. So my plan is to put it on a credit card and pay back a little at a time whereas the 7:3:1 will be a gift that I don't have to pay back.

Always nice to have your cake and eat it too.  I am also asking for the Fuego CT 7:3:1 for fathers day,  I plan to just use a slower retrieve when needed to emulate the 5:3:1.  That's a dangerous game putting fishing gear on the credit card with interest accruing, I suggest waiting until you can pay out of pocket.

I'll try to talk you off the ledge. Not trying to sound like a jerk, but if you have to finance a $60 reel it's probably not a good decision. 

No 5.3.1 in the Fuego CT, slowest retrieve is 6.3.1.

I picked up a Tatula CT 100P which is 5.5.1 but a bit more expensive. I'm on the fence about the T-Wing but I do appreciate the bearings in the knobs.

You can buy knob bearings to replace to bushings. They're not expensive at all. I bought 50 on amazon for $15.

With credit card interest rates being so high, personally I’d hold off. 

Order one from Bass Pro and use the 6 payment plan. It's interest free.

Dude I feel your pain. I've bought 5 bait casters this year. I only fish 3. But yeah no, I'm always in the same boat... I can't help you ?

 

Now's the time though.... this eBay sale is a PITA to use compared to some of the other ones but it's a good deal if you do the leg work.

Well I couldn't take the monkey screaming in my ear any longer. I went ahead and ordered it 58. and change. Good news is we belong to a really good Credit Union and if I get any kick back on this I'll just use this as my Fathers Day gift.

So the monkey apparently is not satisfied with my buying just one Fuego CT. He says I need another one, I've got some money to spend so wondering what gear to order next. 7:3:1 or 8:3:1? I've ordered the 6:3:1. 

Would there be any issues spooling Pline CX premium fluorocarbon coated line on this reel?

Can't imagine any reason,  I bought a 5000yd spool and just wanted to know if was a good match or if anybody had problems with it.

It's very good line..smaller diameter than some other copolymers out there. For instance I think 15 lb is approx. .013 " , 20 lb is .015"

I got a lews 8.1 super duty g, it is amazing. Just buy it man, pay it off little by little and build credit lol

At least your monkey likes Fuegos. Mine got a brand new Steez A TW.
