Pro-staff Response Time

Featured Replies

I'm in a sticky situation. I applied for a pro-staff position with a company called cranked fishing. They make beautiful jigs and I love to throw the jig it seemed like a match made in heaven. Anyways I sent in the form. Two days later they emailed me saying they would love to have me on the team and asked if I read all their pro-staff information. I was ecstatic I quickly responded saying indeed I did. Now its been a week with no response. I'm afraid they forgot about me.? What do I do? I could easily direct message them on my social media platform but that seems unprofessional and impatient. I want to benefit their company as soon as I can, but I don't know whether or not to wait longer.

Nothing good seems to happen fast other than a top water bite.  I would call onece to see, but not blow up their contact.

I'd just send them something like a a message looking for a confirmation that they got your last message. Things go haywire with electronics at times and there's no way of knowing, along with the potential for human error. I read messages on here all the time that I get during the day (the middle of the night for me), and forget about them and forget to respond until days later sometimes unless the person messages me again.

Read it again, I just did. Sounds to me like they (he) is waiting for your first order.

For your first order, you will receive a 10% discount code. We have no requirements on how much of our gear you need to start. Even by having just one jig, you'll be able to start promoting. If you have already ordered from us, please let us know, and you can get right to promoting without having to place another order. After you start promoting and sending us pictures, you will be upgraded to the 25% discount. The more you promote, the quicker you'll be upgraded! It can be done in as little as 2 weeks. If you continue to promote us after that, we will begin sending you free lures and apparel on a regular basis. Keep in mind you must be willing to go above and beyond. If you want free gear, you must make a name for yourself. Show us that you can offer something unique to the team. Set yourself apart from other applicants and you will be rewarded.

He ended the email with a question so I'd assume he'd respond right?

Would it be pushy to message them on Instagram as a confirmation?

And confirm what? Lack of reading comprehension?

Let me try the direct route:

They did not forget to respond. They already responded. They directed you to the next step by asking if you had read their pro-staff information. You already said yes, you did. The information clearly says you will get a pro staff discount upon placing an order.  So there is nothing more for them say until you place an order, and start sending them pics of your catches with their jigs.

They are not going to send you anything free until you prove yourself a successful angler with their gear.  You need to do the work of using and promoting their baits to earn an upgrades on your discount. The pro staff information says this clearly.

So place an order, get your discount, and start using and supporting their baits, and send them some pictures. After that, you can expect to hear more from them when you are eligible for an upgrade.

Okay I just thought they’d send me the discount code as confirmation. I’m going to place an order anyways and begin to promote and tag them in photos. Hopefully they did register me as part of the team that would be a plus but I want some fresh jigs anyways thanks for the help!
