I'm looking for affordable fishing shoes that are basically just like regular tennis shoes but drain and dry quickly unlike regular tennis shoes. I'm not looking for the thin mesh style shoes. I need it to be like a regular shoe that's durable (usually the soles on the mesh ones aren't real soles and mesh holes cause sunburns), durable, and can be worn without socks. Hopefully under $40.

 

These are for fishing from the boat, not shore fishing or walking around in the water.

 

- Under $40 (hopefully)

 

- Can be worn without socks (insoles won't stick to feet)

 

- Thick enough top material to block the sun from sunburning feet

 

- No holes so that feet don’t get sunburned. 

 

- Durable

They appear to make a ton of models.

I was only aware of one? They are some sort of dense foam.

Just got a pair of swift river crocs. They fit a bit tighter on the top of the foot and stay on well while walking in water. Comfortable and dry fast. So far so good.

No they look like regular crocks but have a slightly narrow top. The tag on them said swiftwater clogs. The ones you posted might be a new model not sure. I have plantar fasciitis and wear orthodics and these are very comfy, so that's saying something

I like crocs too. Cheap compared to other boat shoes, they float, I can spray them off with the hose so it doesn't matter what gets on them throughout the day, they don't hold odor like other shoes. Just put some sunblock on the tops of your feet and you're good to go. 

Closed toe sandals have a sneaker style sole but dry fast.  Mine are made by Northwest territory and were about $20 on Amazon. As stated earlier, you can spray them off with a hose if you need to

I burn easily and I use massive amounts of sunblock.  This past March we took a family trip to Jamaica (where I refuse to put a shirt on except for meals) and we took two of the new aerosol spray bottles of sunblock.  I'm not much for new-fangled stuff but that spray is amazing.  I was skeptical but my son and both used it and it actually works better and lasts longer than the smear on kind and goes on 10 times faster.  There will be a can in my boat from now on.  Just FYI if you've never tried it.  WARNING:  it contains completely different ingredients than the smear on.  My co-workers toddler had an allergic reaction to it.

Anyone know what's good?

If you are fishing on the boat, why not just wear tennis shoes?  I mean, unless you fall in all the time why the emphasis on quick dry shoes?  If you have to get your feet wet during load / unload - you could always grab a pair of crocs to put on for that but otherwise, I don't follow the need.

 

You can always get Sperry Maritime H20's or pay more and go Under Armor Kilchis if you really need water shoes.  Speedo makes a watershoe too that fits all of your requirements.  I think they call them watercross maybe?

Shimano evair shoes....been wearing them for a year now, great in the boat, comfortable to walk around in. Quick drying. They run big go 1 size down from your normal shoe. Check them out 

Take a look at Soft Science shoes. They are super comfortable, dry fast and have non slip soles. They have a replaceable insole and the thing I like the most is the toe box is nice and wide, letting your feet spread out when you're standing. You can find them on sale close to your price range

I wear a pair of Astral’s which I got on clearance for about $50. They’re great. 

 

Another great option are Simms. There are plenty of them on eBay for closeout prices around $50. I had a pair that lasted a few years and were very comfortable. Search “Simms boat shoes”.
