VMC hooks

Featured Replies

Anyone ever use them?  I bought some for making me some jigs since I couldnt get the mustad ultra points for making some shakey heads

They are good quality hooks but they are manufactured in France and for that reason I won't use them anymore.

I would really like to use Eagle Claw since they are American made but they just never seem to be as sharp as Gamakatsu.

I have only used the VMC Trailer Hook meant for spinnerbaits (extra-large eye & rubber keeper).

All the same, VMC is a high quality hook and maybe I'm going out on a limb here,

but I'd say that they're roughly equivalent in quality to the Mustad Ultra Point.

I haven't used their single hooks, but VMC treble hooks are standard on Lucky Craft and Rapala lures.

I've used both VMC treble and ewg worm hooks and I consider them good quality. One of the reasons they're standard on Rapalas is that Rapala owns them.

The VMC Sure Set treble hooks rock! Thats about the only VMC hooks I use.

I was always under the impression that Lucky Craft lures used Daiichi hooks but after doing some digging around found out they are VMC hooks that are sharpened by Daiichi.  http://www.luckycraft.com/luckycrafthome/Products/accessories/hooks.htm

But like the last two I like the Sure Set hooks on the Rapala's.
