I fish in south Florida and alottttt of guys use braid I'm one of them. But lately I've ventured out from using braid and started using fluorcarbon as my own experiment, now obviously I can't pitch my baits in heavy vegetation with fluorcarbon but been using on the outskirts of it and noticed a few things number one I really enjoy using fluorcarbon, I seem to be landing more fish, I think because it's less visible and I feel the strikes better with fluorcarbon but the biggest thing I noticed when using braid it's so strong and doesn't have any stretch alot of times I was pulling the bait right out of the fishes mouth.Now there are still some techniques I will continue to use braid, frogging,flipping. Wanted to know if anyone else had similar experiences between braid and fluorcarbon.Thanks for reading!

Yep......i use both but i've really grown to love Seaguar Abrazx for pitching...and i've got a lot of confidence in throwing 20 to 25 lb Abrazx in some nasty stuff and still seem to always bring them back to the boat. Now i'm in Indiana so a 5 to 7 lber is a good fish and it handles those well in vegetation and wood but maybe a 10 lb or bigger in your area might be a little different but Seaguar sure makes a mean fluorocarbon....and i have nothing to do with the company.....i know they are a sponsor on here but it's just plain good line. 

For me, fluorcarbon just handles and performs better ill look into that seaguar thanks!

I use the Seaguar Flipping Fluoro a lot in the thick stuff. It has a bit more memory but it's worth it to me to get the big ones out and it's not like I'm flipping a finesse bait with it. I wish it was available in 15/17 pound test but the 20 works well for what I need. 

Indeed on braid.  Its non-stretch is a great trait, but I too can react too quickly sometimes yank the lure out of their mouths.

Just curious why not braid?

I use braid then add a fluoro leader when I want the attributes of fluoro.

I use braid a lot as well, but there's situations I prefer fluoro. I hate braid for jig fishing for example, just doesn't feel right to me, so I opt for the flipping fluoro instead when I'm pitching jigs. 

It's weird,maybe it's me but I prefer mono or a fluorcarbon hybrid, for me I just handle it better maybe because I grew up using mono

I use 20# Shooter for all but the heaviest and thickest cover.

I use braid but prefer FC for most fishing.  I don't dislike braid, I just feel it is a technique specific line >heavy cover, topwater, etc).  FC I like for all soft plastic, jigs, and crankbaits.
