Most water has too many little fish. It's not a reward, just no big deal.

Ok but the kid is going to be really spoiled and annoying later if everyone just lets him do whatever he wants.

Well, I fish a lot of ponds where the best option is feeding the little ones to the coyotes,

raccoons and turtles.
