Really useful skill if you are a co-angler on the back deck.

I just cast with both arms now; took a few months to not feel "weird". I'm equally proficient in both except for skipping, I can only skip accurately with my right arm.

And in many other situations. Having an accurate back hand really helps you work around cover and reach tight spots. 

Love this cast! I call it a roll cast - mainly because I usually put a distinctive roll on the bait using the rod tip.

Can't do this using a "broomstick"!

 

Can really appreciate a good match of lure weight and rod action. Distance, accuracy, and comfort. Nice break from those more typical "hard charging" casting styles.
