What would you use a bc in this ratio for other than crankbaits?

 

Heavy spinnerbait, big swimbaits, scrounger heads, heavy bladed jigs

That use to be considered high speed and will fish anything even buzzbaits .

still use em for anything.

Just experiment and see what you like. You’re not going to hurt anything. 

I like them for hollow belly swim baits, easy to overwork them on faster reels.

That is terrible. I remember 3.8 to 1

I use it for most types of swim baits.  If I'm not actively paying attention to my retrieve speed, I tend to reel to fast for a swim-bait if I'm using a higher speed reel.  I use the 5.4 to kind of force me to slow down. 

Good for slow rolling baits on the bottom like spinnerbaits and big soft swimbaits. It's much easier than cranking a high speed reel for one turn every 5-10 seconds.

What kind of line do you guys use for hollow body swimbaits? Im thinking like 5in zoom paddle tail swimmers swimbaits
