A trailer on a spinnerbait or not?

Featured Replies

Another one here with no trailer, but never without a 2/0 trailer hook and boy, has that ever come in handy.

No trailer for me but I will use a trailer hook if the cover allows.

I put a trailer on my spinnerbaits and chatter baits much more often than not.  I like the BPS Cajun trailers quite a bit, but from time to time I'll put on something else - just depends.

I've caught decent fish both ways.

I'm in the camp with not using trailers.

I always use a trailer on my spinner bait, but trailer less on my buzz baits. I’ve experimented with various plastics over the years. My first trailer was a twister single tail grub. I even used the hula grubs inplace of skirts, very low friction. Now I like split tail trailers that are made of elaztech plastic. They float and kick like nothing else.

I like to use a trailer. A Zoom twin tail or a grub have both worked well.
