Hey guys -

Here are tips and tricks I've gleaned through the decades from fishing a dropshot during the fall transition. Hope it helps!

Nice video...but how does only spooling 60 yards of line save you money in the long run. Once you get low, let's say down to 30 yards for example, you swap out and waste that distance. If you fill it up at around 100 yards, you only waste that 30 for every 100 instead of every 60. Am I missing something?

You know I relate to heavier weights.  On Erie, even the runt bass will be up in the column with the perch.  You gotta get down to the bottom to get the bigger bass.  That's a good point for using heavier weights that I forget.  Nice job!

The underneath 50 yards or so is severely damaged from cold flow under time and pressure and become a useful arbor when respooling the top 50 to 60 yards. FC and mono are unlike braid as a filler, braid doesn't cold flow under time and pressure.

With a 200 yard spool of FC you get about 3 refills, inlieu of 2.

Thank you sir!  It's a fun way to catch Fall bass on a dropshot.

Glenn, Have you ever used or considered using a jig of some sort as your bottom weight?  I do this a lot for perch and crappie but never for bass.
