On another forum the X-Rays have gotten very positive reviews.  However, the service has not.  Before ordering I recommend calling and getting an in-person commitment for the shipping date.  Some real horror cases have been reported, then recently a very positive one on the quick shipment from them.

Try Point Blanks for a top notch premium blank.  They can be ordered and drop-shipped from Anglers Resource direct, which is pretty fast and reliable.

Ya NFC blanks are good but not head and shoulders above others if at all. The service hassles have turned me off completely. Only way I’ll build one is if the client supplies it.

I have two rods built on NFC blanks. Not the X-rays, so I can’t comment on those. I bought blanks which were a lot more expensive that X-ray blanks. Got them for 65% off during a sale last year from Get Bit.

They made a couple of nice rods; for the price I paid. If I had paid full price for them, I would be seriously disappointed. They are not all that and a bag of chips.

I will not be buying any more of them. And I will not be building any more, no matter who buys them.

I’m in interested in getting some custom rods built. Did you buy the blanks from NFC or did the rod builder provide them.

Builder provided them, that's what I wanted. The builds are absolutely perfect, can't wait to fish them. Brian.

It took them almost 6 months to send me the one I ordered.

Same, I haven't even built mine yet. The whole thing kind of turned me off to them.
