Poison adrena 7'3" mh/ regular fast

Featured Replies

Does anyone own this? Wondering how good this would be for swim jigs and chatterbaits. Seems like the action would be more to my liking then my expride for moving baits. Curious what others use it for, never owned a regular fast unless it's just another term for moderate fast.

I really like the rod, I find it to be fast enough to be an all purpose/versatile rod. It's very versatile (jigs, texas rigs, swim jigs, as well as chatterbaits). I tend to prefer more power on chatterbaits anyways so really like it

I use mine for 1/4 oz Texas Rigs, and I love it!

Use mine for T-rigs as well.

Very nice rod.

I like mine even though I've only used it once, just got it. It's arguably lighter in weight or even to an equal size/power nrx.

Would this taper, would this model be good for top water?

How's this for wanting to make you cry? This piled on with everything else that happened this weekend really didn't sit well. Oh well, like I told my wife, things could always be worse.

Ouch...user error or rod defect? Just curious, I'm looking at buying an Adrena.

Rod defect, I was fishing a baby brush hog on a 1/4 oz Texas rig with 40lb braid. Felt a tap, reeled down, line got heavy and I swung away. Literally sounded like a 22 going off. I have never had that happen or seen that happen to a rod in 25 years of fishing. I was astounded. I pulled the line in by hand, I wasn't hung up or anything. The only thing I can thing is something pulled my line into some bark (I was fishing in trees) and when I set the hook there was no give at all and the rod snapped. Maybe then the line either came trough the bark or slipped back out when the rod broke. I have no idea. I am going to send it back to Shimano and go from there.

I promise though, a $350 rod is small compared to other things in life that can go wrong. Trust me!

Got that right, friend.  I know first hand.  :(
