You're complaining about fishy hands?  Come on, man!

  • Depends on the fish; carp and slimy catfish I would agree are smelly. Years ago I kept a bar of soap wrapped in a rag to wash my hands when needed. About 30 years ago I discovered Colgate white t

I know people who will rub scent on their hands before handling baits.

i’ll rub fish slime on my worm or lizard before i wipe my hands off. but don’t tell anybody. it’s a secret.

I would always carry hand sanitizer with me and use it the minute I was done holding a fish, washed my hands with a water bottle after or just splashed some pond water on them. good as new hahahahaha

Release the fish, picks up sammich and continue eating it!!!  Not how its done?

My sammiches are in baggies so I don't have to touch them.

However, right now the fishing is so bad I wouldn't care. I'd give the dang fish a full on French kiss if I could just catch one. After a moments thought, ya I'd take that trade. I need a fish!!!

Literally me , I Jsut wipe my hands off on my pants and I’m good.. I’ll eat or drink or do whatever after. The only thing I ever really wash my hands off after is northern pike Bc they leave one hell of a snot trail

Anyone that complains about having to touch a bass has obviously never dealt with the slime of a northern pike.  Touch a few of those and you're hands literally stink like skunk for hours.

When it’s late in the fishing trip I worry if I don’t have that fishy smell on my hands.

I get some cheap hand towels, put a brass grommet on it, and hang it from my belt while fishing. I might dunk part of it in the lake to keep it damp. Towels keep me from wiping my hands on my pants and keep the handles on my rods clean too. I keep it attached to me so I always know where it is without having to look for it. Leaving it on the deck means it will blow out of the boat when I forget to secure it before taking off.

Same with me.
