Dang, yall got me feeling like I'm over working my truck.  I'm hauling a 19 ft Javelin, with a 2017 Tacoma.  Thank goodness I dont go far and its fairly flat here.  Hopefully I'll upgrade to a 3/4 ton diesel next.

You're not the only one.  I tow my 19' Tuffy with my 2008 Tacoma.  No issues.  Waiting for the redesigned 2022 Tundra.  6500 towing capacity and I figure my package is 4000 pounds or so.

I waited for the Tundra redesign for 10 years. Traded in my 2008 Tundra I bought new in 2007, with 200k miles for a 2017 SuperDuty I bought new in 2018. I got sick of waiting. Toyota makes a great product. Unfortunately, they feel the vehicles market themselves. Their sales peaked in 2007 with the new design and new powerplant. Sales have been stagnant the last 6 years. The truck was due for a major redesign in 2017

I agree.  I am expecting to hear that this pandemic is going to push the 2022 launch to 2023.  I kicked around the idea of getting a used Tundra but I have no issues with my Tacoma now.  Just hoping nothing major breaks in the next 1.5 years.

GMC and Pro V Bass May 2020 (2).jpg

With the 6.2L, max tow package and a curb weight of just over 4,800 lbs,  this GMC is rated at 9,300 lbs.

 Don't yank quite that much.

Like that there's no problem on hills or getting up to ramming speed.

Not really a gas sipper though.

OK braggart....but you have the tow package which should have 3.55 or 3.73 gears. ?OP didn't have that option without ordering.

I have the 6.2 in my Ford and 3.73 gears in the rear?

The Ford is my Lunds chauffeur. Takes her where she wants to go in style.

As far as sipping gas, I'm at 12 mpg trailer or not. Those are better than 1970's 350ci numbers LOL

Oh I know.  I had a Ram 3500 quad cab diesel for a work truck from for a long time.  I miss it.

I was just happy that I managed to get a pic while both the truck and boat were clean.

Usually it's one or the other.

Well, if you'd quit taking those dirt back-roads to Menderchuck and fish a real lake, maybe they'd both stay clean. ;)
