A-Rig Midwest

Featured Replies

I'm from the midwest and was wondering is spring the main time a-rig is highly productive.

Just pay attention to the regs - like MN, Iowa limits the number of lures/hooks on a single line.

"When fishing by hook-and-line, you cannot use more than two lines or more than two hooks on each line when still fishing or trolling."

Which means only two of the arms of an A-Rig can have hooks on them, the rest would have to be hookless.

Fall is also good. I seem to have my best luck when water temps are in the 45-55 degree range.

i don’t fish it much during summer because my lakes get choked with grass.

Winter to early spring, Pre spawn.
