Which size do you guys recommend most for general bass fishing?

I would say whatever casts best on the tackle you use. Frog size is not always that important. Of course it is bass fishing so sometimes it will be important. Smaller frogs may be easier for smaller bass to get in his mouth.

I seem to get more interest with normal to large size frogs, I think they make a little more commotion. Like all bait selections try them out and find what works for you. 

Be careful or you will end up with over a 100 frogs like this pathetic angler.

The middle size (55) is a pretty typical size for frogs.

I would suggest the 55T is the perfect size overall,Typically the first size I use for locating fish as it will get strikes form Fish of all sizes, and you can hook most of them as well. If I had to only bring one, it would be the middle size. The bigger 65T is a great frog, And for a large body it certainly has a place & worth having. I tend to hook more fish than I do with other frogs of similar size. The little 45 T has its place as well, Its small but fishing pressured water or when bluegill are small etc, it casts well and does the job.....I am not a fan of Live Target Lures, but they did a great job from day one with the frogs. They are worth $10 imo without question. 

 

You won't regret any live target frog, same with a Booyah frog, both great values and if I miss a hook set I know it was likely my fault, and not a faulty design etc...I don't have the same confidence with other frogs in the same price range and I have purchased and tried them all, kind of an addiction to buying every new frog that comes out. Even if I bring a box full of frogs, I almost always throw a Live target Or poppin pad crusher and both are essentially the same size. 

I have mostly the middle size, but I do have a couple of the large size, just in case..

Thanks much guys. I just ordered a couple of the middle sized ones to start out. In all my years of fishing I’ve never owned a frog lure. Lol! I just avoided thick weeds and just always fished the outer edges of lily pads or slop.

 

Looks like things are about to change.

Great..1 mod to do to increase your hook up ratio is to..bend the hooks up about 1 to 2 mm, and bend them outward slightly. It will still be weedless, but improves the hook up ratio..Have fun.

Another mod I always do (unless fishing in clear, open water) is put 2 6mm craft bells and 1 or 2 bb's in the frog's cavity. Gives added weight, which helps you launch it further, but more importantly, it gives it a slight rattle sound.

What colors would you recommend?

From what i here, I’m not sure that matters so much with topwater. But I chose to go with the Green/Yellow cause that is the color that most resembles the leaped frogs by me. The bottom of the baits looks like their belly color also.

Brown/black in the 55 size, and fluro green in the large size..
