Posion Adrena 7,2H vs.7,4H Questions

Featured Replies

I am looking for a bottom contact jig rod to trow 3/4oz -1.5oz title shots and I am torn between the Posion Adrena 7,2 H and the 7,4 H, I will be throwing it into the weeds but nothing too crazy,  its not heavy matts or a punching situation. Does anyone have any info/experience to explain the difference between the two rods? Is the 7,4 too much rod for 3/4oz jigs? Does the 7,4 do everything the 7,2 does but handles a little more weight? any info is appreciated.

I have the 7'2 h but not the 7'4. Maybe it's just me but I couldn't see throwing anything more than a 3/4oz dressed jig on it but then again I don't like a mushy or overloaded feel. With that said I've only caught a few fish on mine. The 7'2 I believe is a fast rated to 1.5 and the 7'4 a more moderate rated to 2 oz

The moderate tip on the 7,4 concerns me about 1oz -1.5oz jigs, I guess an expride rated to 2oz would be a better fit,  but I dont want broom stick.

For consistently throwing jigs 1oz or over, you definitely need an XH.  Looks like all expride's are sold out at tackle warehouse, but I'd look at the 7-3xh.
