I got the wrong size orings and i was wondering if anyone could send me a link to a lifetime supply of the right size orings (3/8”) because I couldn’t find any

 

Ever try a small ziptie?

 

Just tighten it around the middle of a stickbait and then clip off any excess material with nail clippers?

 

More durable than an o-ring, less prone to slippage.

 

Can buy them by the thousand (4" or 6" ones) online.

since i have tool it just seems faster to use orings

When im bored i just slide a bunch of them on tool so that when i need to i just slide two of them on senko 

Fastenall No. 10 O rings, I think it was $2.50 for 50 of them.

 

Same size as what came with my wacky tool years ago.

Stick a worm in your pocket and go to either Ace or Lowes and pick the size O ring that fits your worm.  Really cheap.

^^^^ I suggest doing what @OnthePotomac mentioned above. Then once you know what size you want, go on eBay or similar site and as @wis bang suggested buy in bulk. I did that and haven’t bought O-rings in years....

A 1/4” (tighter) or 5/16” (looser) is what I use.

Never thought of using two of them but its something I may try now that you mention it.  On occasion the stick bait will slide right off the o ring.

Two o rings work really well when you cross them and place the hook right through the x where they cross.

Those elastic hair ties that you get 100 to a sleeve at Walmart are pretty legit, too.

 

I, uh…may have snagged a couple from the woman as a test after I saw the dude from Realistic Fishing do it. ?

The correct size o-rings for a senko are 3/8" o.d. (outside dimension) x 1/4" i.d. ( outside dimension).  You can get o-rings with a larger outside diameter, but I don't see the point because they don't stretch as well, and you need a little bit of stretch to get them positioned properly.

 

The last time I needed  o-rings, (and I'd run through all the ones my local hardware stores had in the proper size at 18 or 20 cents each, I found a web site called 0-rings.com.    I went there, and several stops later I got a supplier on the phone in St. Louis who would sell me a minimum order.   A minimum order was 1000, the guy on the phone apologized for the high price, but he had to sell them to me for a penny a piece.  Shipping was a few stamps.  That was in 2005 and I still have many o-rngs left

I use Goody rubber hair bands, I can get 100 of them for a couple bucks at Walmart.  Double them over to make an X and put the hook through the X so it's perpendicular to the worm.  Better hook ups as said above when you use 2 O rings.

That is the size i got 400 of off amazon for and using 2 seems to cut in the bait and not hold up and have been trying 2 for increased hook up ratio

Personally ive heard of all the other things people use but the orings seem the softest and while having problems i have also managed to get 7 fish on one senko

#10 is 1/4 ID [3/8ths OD] eventually they do cut into the senko. I slide the hook under and move it slightly every time. I keep two of each favorite color in the bag with O rings and re-use them until they finally break or the hook gets pulled into the tip which slides the O ring off...plop...

 

Usually they die after a few years and multiple fish...

No idea what oring size chart is but should i go up one size larger then #10 unless thats the largest size

I just matched the ones that came with my tool. They come in all sizes.

It seems like one oring worked better but was missing fish so was seeing if using two led to this problem or was wrong size and which case what size allows me to use two but doesn’t cut in senko also i keep them on oring tool so it kinda stretches them out

Also some of the orings designed for senkos say they are more durable is that true or just a bunch of bs

Also if getting orings from hardware store there are Many different kinds like medical grade or drinking water which one should I get

Alright my current oring size is the inside diameter is 1/4” and diameter of the entire oring is 3/8

I also personally like orings the best so was wondering if I should go up a size to prevent bait from tearing 

Tearing of a Senko (GYCB) is just the nature of the beast. Even correct size o rings will tear it if not careful. Especially when putting two on and crossing them

Do what Wiz Bang suggested. Rig up 2-3 each in  colors you plan to take at home before you go out.

I only use o rings on Senkos. For smaller diameter, less inexpensive baits like trick worms I just put the hook into the worm.

Try a few to see. If they work, fine. Then go for the bulk.
